EGR Air Temp Sensor
I got a 86 5.0 tpi trans am and jus recently found out that the egr air temp has been discontinued, Im not getting the greatest connection because the lil ceramic part has been crumpling away and was wondering if you really need it i kno it opens up the valve if it gets too hot but can i get a egr without the sensor that screws in the side and be fine with it?

Re: EGR Air Temp Sensor
I took mine off, without any probelms, but then again, it is for emissions, which we dont have in my state.

Re: EGR Air Temp Sensor
mine isnt throwing any codes, i think its more for diagnosing problems with egr and/or seeing if it is working correctly
