1990 L98 oil sender removal and installation?
My oil pressure gauge reads very low and I was wondering what is the best way to remove the sending unit. I believe it's down by the oil fiter in a tight place. Is ther a special tool? I think the sender switch that I bought is a different size than the one on the car. My gauge reads a max of thirty and a low of zero. My car is also a G92 with oil cooler. It's probably the original sender on the car. Is there a place to hook up an aftermarket mechanical gauge easily for a backup?

Large channel locks.
You can put in a mechanical gauge at the top left rear china wall. There's a hole that should be plugged.

make sure your engine oil cooler hasnt failed, i thought my car was the exact same thing, then one day on my way home she started to knock. pulled my dipstick nothing to see there, so i went to change my oil and filter to see if there were any metal shavings, and boom. as soon as i pulled the drain plug. about 2 gallons of water came out before the oil did. needless to say im in the process of a motor swap right now
