Odd no-start problem

Hey guys, I own a 91 'bird with a 305 TBI. Don't know a ton about cars but thought fixing her up would be a good way to learn.

I have an odd problem that has cropped up twice so far where I will attempt to start the vehicle and it will act as if I'm not getting any power to the starter motor. I'm getting the expected voltage at the battery and all of the accessories work as expected when they key is in the accessory position.

What is odd is, in both cases I periodically tried to start the car over the course of ten minutes or so and then eventually she will turn over and start right up with no trouble whatsoever. I can't figure out what would be changing over the course of a couple minutes that would just magically allow it to start

Re: Odd no-start problem

a friend of mine had the same problem in a pickup truck, after 100's of dollars and a few mechanics, turns out it was the computer. I am a novice when it comes to this sort of thing but there are some really great guys in here that can help.
