Cranks, has spark. Doesn't start
91 350 TPI, basically I don't think I am getting an injector pulse. I plugged a light bulb into the connector it doesn't flash.
I have 12v to the pink wire and the blue and green ground wires at the injectors. even with all plugs on one side disconnected from the injectors, this puzzles me.
Brand new fuel pump w/ 40 psi at the rail.
Spark down at the plugs.
Checked the control module, it's good.
Check power to orange wire at comp, has 12v all times.
Pink/blk at comp has 12 w/ key on.
Green and blue injector grounds have 12 at the computer.
I am completely stumped. I searched around on here for about an hour and read through a few no injector pulse threads, but didn't find anything that helped.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Will
SOLUTION: Found a break in the purple/white wire that runs from the distributor to the ECM. Ran a new wire, car started right up.

PASS key problem?
See what codes comes out of the ECM with the A & B terminals jumped.
EDIT: Did it just die on you or was this after work done?

The security light goes off after you turn the key on, if the vats module fails would the light come on/go off?
No codes from the ecm.
The car hasn't ran in about 9 years. So there has been some recent work. I put the TPI back together, new injectors that I know work they were tested in a friends car, new fuel pump with plenty of rail pressure. Battery is fully charged the car turns over very strong.
I am quite sure the reason for it not starting is the injectors are not firing. I beleive the computer get the signal to fire the injectors from the control module in the distributor. I had it tested and it's good.
Any other ideas?

Re: Cranks, has spark. Doesn't start
I'm not getting a pulse from the ECM to ground the injector.
I just followed the steps below, I didn't get a flash on step 2.
1. With a 12 V test light: clip the ground lead to ground and touch the other end to the pink wire with a black stripe on your fuel injector. You should see the light turn on indicating the injectors are getting power.
2. Next with the test lights still clipped to ground put the probe onto the dark green wire on the fuel injector and have a friend try and start the car. You should see the test light flash if not you are getting no injector pulse.

The OP switch and pump relay are in parallel so you would have fuel pressure from the relay even if the OP switch was not working

The gauge registers about 25psi when cranking and I hear the pump come on while cranking. That should mean a good OPS, right?

Re: Cranks, has spark. Doesn't start
Decided to ohm the wires from the distributor to the computer this morning before going to work. I found the purple/white stripe wire did not have continuity. Since that is the cam reference signal for the comp, I am confident I found my problem. I will know tonight when I run a new wire.

The purple/white wire being broken was my problem. Ran a new wire, car fires right up!
