Car: Lots of 'em
Members with IROCS, check this out.
I've been keeping up with NADA Guide values of these cars, now a couple months ago, NADA basically was implying these cars were crap.
I've noticed since the 2010 cars have been out for a while, the value of some years has nearly DOUBLED.
I think people are finally catching onto these cars, as most Irocs were used and abused HARD back in the day, not too many good looking examples are left. I believe the day of them being called "****** mobiles" is over, and they're being taken seriously as actual collector cars.
A couple months ago, an Iroc was lucky to have a high retail value of $4,000. I'll list some examples.
1985 IROC-Z.
Low Retail - $2,970.
Average Retail Value - $5,078.
High Retail - $8,150.
-------------------------
1986 IROC-Z.
Low Retail - $3,053.
Average Retail Value - $5,188.
High Retail - $8,288.
-------------------------
1987 IROC-Z.
Low Retail - $2,600.
Average Retail Value - $4,475.
High Retail - $7,250.
-------------------------
1988 IROC-Z.
Low Retail - $3,273.
Average Retail Value - $5,353.
High Retail - $8,950.
-------------------------
1989 IROC-Z.
Low Retail - $3,300.
Average Retail Value - $5,463.
High Retail - $8,673.
-------------------------
1990 IROC-Z.
The 1990 is a whole different story, it's clean retail value is down at $3,850. I'm assuming because it's still considered an "autos", and not a classic.
Now guys, keep in mind that the way I found out these Values, was by selecting the "2 dr Iroc coupe" With 2 options, the Corvette Glass Roof, and Factory Air Conditioning. I know, Corvette Glass Roof? Yeah, NADA only has the option of T-tops listed for one year, so I'm assuming it's a rather equal option.
I know these cars still go pretty cheap, but I'm loving this change in the market for these cars. If you have one sitting around, do yourself a favor and keep it in decent shape. I'm starting to think these cars will be on the valuable side some day.
