Can't get it running...Help!

I read similar posts, and almost all of them fixed their problem. I tried those parts they fixed and none of mine work.

After it starts, it will idle high (1500-1700rpm) then die 3-5 seconds later. I've replaced the ICM, dizzy cap/rotor, tested pick up coil, tested ignition coil. EGR works, TPS works, MAP works, IAC works (might buy a new one to double check), no vacuum leaks. Fuel pump works, injectors work, FPR works.

I can't for the life of me figure this out. My dad, even with his experience, can't get it. I know the oil pressure switch/sending unit wasn't working before, I replaced it and still doesn't work (wire looks exposed).

If I throttle the gas, has to be worked, it will run for 20 seconds then loses power and no amount of working the gas will keep it running.

I couldn't find any vacuum leaks, but I'm thinking there could be at the TB (the TB doesn't look like the right one, either) but no codes come up with the MAP.

The motor was possibly swapped to a 350.

I tried working on it today, and it feels like it's not getting enough fuel. Could the 305 TBI chip (8063), possible 305 injectors, be causing that? Or should I get a new ecm/prom and injectors from a 5.7L truck? What about the fuel pump, get one for the 5.7 TPI?

It's been two weeks and I can't figure it out. I'm about ready to just put in a carb, although, I will have to pull the fuel pump anyways...haha. Before I start to tear into the rear end, what else should I check/replace? Is there an easier way to get to the pump without having to remove the rear end?

check the fuel pump and make sure it has the correct psi

So is this a car you just got? Since it was

While I don't think it is possible unless the fuel lines are not factory. You could have the pressure and return lines backwards. I did that when I put the new motor in. Pressure read 14psi and would backfeed enough through the regulator to start the engine for a few seconds.

Just a possibility to look at. Maybe take a glance at the filter.
You can try the IAC calibration procedure. Maybe it is opening to far, which would be the same as a vacuum leak. Injectors fire, but the air is going through the IAC and not picking up any fuel. Not sure, but using throttle could close down IAC and could be what helps you run a little longer.

It does at least sound fuel related. On a side note though, you might want to pull a few plugs and make sure they arn't all fouled. That will make starting very hard as well. It doesn't take a ton of carbon on the plugs before the engine will no longer start.
