Re: 1.6 roller rockers

Are you sure that the pushrods are properly seated in the lifters? What makes you think that the pushrods are too long?

Re: 1.6 roller rockers

you dont say what year the engine is. are they self aligning and are the heads set up for self aligning? did you mix and match the types? if they are center bolt heads did you get the thin rockers? a little more info may help.

Remove the rocker and check the result. The line where the ink has been worn away shows where the rocker's roller tip has contacted the top of the valve stem. It should be centered, but the line is a little too high here. That means the pushrod is too short.

Re: 1.6 roller rockers

i believe they are to long because with the valve closed the roller is almost off the valve stem to the header side they are self aligning i was told it was a 85 but the motor is center bolt valve covers and its a roller motor so the guy that i bought the motor from didnt know it was in his car which was a 85 camaro
