need cam help..real quick guestion!
I am replacing the cam in my trans am.just replacing, and I will be putting headers on it too ..it is a 1991 TPI 305,T-5,convertable..all stock right now and I was told by a buddy of mine at comp cams to use this cam ( 08-300-8 )
now we are not sure about a tune...he thinks it'll work without any tuning mods...will it work with my stock setup?will I need springs?,will I have to tune?I don't want to tune yet that comes later with the build up...Thank you for your help..
heres a link to the cam card http://www.compcams.com/Cam_Specs/Ca...?csid=211&sb=2

The description of that cam in my year one book is "For factory roller cam engine with stock TPI and stock computer" I'm guessing you need nothing but the cam, although I'd like to put springs on it just for insurance.

yeh upon farther research I have discovered that many people have used this and had good luck with it....andI agree I would have to replace the springs for my own sanity too...thanks
