missing and sputtering

I have a 87 383 Formula. Iam getting an intermittent missing, sputtering and backfire. It seems like secondary ignition, but I have switched out every part, and no differance. I have no engine codes. I have cleaned the MAF sensor with MAF sensor cleaner. No differance. I have switched out the ECM chip. Still the same problem. I think I might have a bad MAF sensor. I have hurd they can produce some pertty stange drive ability concerns. I was just wondering if anyone has run into similar problems and the MAF sensor was the cause. Thanks
