Distributor Advance
This is probably a dumb question, and I'm pretty sure I know the answer but I wanted to double check myself. I found an 84 Berlinetta at the local U-Pull and its had the engine swapped from a v6 to a V8 judging from the VIN. The distributor in it has a vacuum advance can on it as well as an HEI coil. Am I correct in thinking that the advance can't be computer controlled on this??? I need a vac advance non-computer-controlled HEI distributor for my V8 swap and I want to make sure this one will work before I go to the trouble of pulling it. I'm 99% sure on this, I just want to be 120% sure. Thanks.

Re: Distributor Advance
Thanx for the quick reply.
That's what I thought. I thought it was one way or the other, not both. For whatever reason my memory just quit on me there. Maybe 5 hours the u-pull in the sun was too much?? I dunno.
Thanx again.
