Sea Foam= code 32 & 33

This is kind of a continuation from my "FAILED SMOG" post in TPI and Tech Geneal Engine forums.

Tech General Engine forum
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tech...ew-engine.html

and

TPI forum
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tpi/...ew-engine.html

So, in attempting to get my car to pass smog, I reduced my fuel pressure from 48 psi back down to stock 42 psi. Then I went through 2 cans of Seafoam, and used the G2P "guranteed to pass" with a full tank of gas. Two days ago after trying to use up the tank so I can refill to pass smog, I started getting codes 32 and 33. (I did read the tech article "Lowdown on Code 32"). Prior to the Sea Foam, I wasn't getting any codes. I did notice the engine light comes on at frwy speeds approx. 70 mph. My EGR is new and was checked out as being ok last week. Also the solenoid is apparrently working. So as the article mentions, is it possible that carbon was losened up and now restricting vacumm somewhere? Why the code 33 as well at the same time code 32 was triggered? How should I proceed in checking for these two codes given the information I have provided.

thanks!

I'm in California. My SLP's have the A.I.R. tubes so they are both legal and have the carb #. I definetly can feel the difference in power gains from doing my mods. The exhaust sounds great to me. But I think that's more from the cat back.

To make a really long story short, my car passed smog a couple months ago. The main culprit was my O2 sensor. It was sending a false signal to the ECM telling it that the car was running really lean. So the ECM was richening the fuel mixture by alot. When the car finally passed, it did so with low double digits which is far below the average.

My car is not a daily driver but here are is a picture of mine. I have to retake pictures of my car though because I added stainless steel tips that peek out know. Also need to retake engine bay pictures.

As far I've seen Dyno Don in the other forums, here SoCal make the 1 3/4 headers. I've read that SLP no longer makes headers. Visit the Exhaust forum for more info.

Sorry to here about your code 33 troubles, maybe visit the Tech / Engine forums to see if someone there can help you.
