Bad Fuel Pump?
About a month ago my fuel pump went and i put in a a/c delco. Car was fine untill a couple of days ago and it would not start. I tried a couple of hours later and it started up and ran for like 10 seconds and then stalled. After that it would not start. Tried again the next day and same thing. after it stalls and i try to start it and it just cranks there doesn't seem to be any gas smell. Think it could be a bad pump. Any ideas.

Re: Bad Fuel Pump?
O.K. i got the car to run. Whats weird is that i thought that what the heck maybe when i changed the fuel pump i messed up the float for the gas gauge. so i put in three gallens of gas. And it ran fine. Go to gas station to top it off and it only took five more gallons. Now the car runs just fine. Any insight in to what i might of done when i changed the pump. Thanks

Re: Bad Fuel Pump?
Maybe you messed up the float. Just keep an eye on your gas gauge if you're questioning it's accuracy. If you know your mileage per tank also helps. A spare gas can may be in order if you don't know your tank mileage.
