hey guys sort of wierd question i recently swapped tpi into my 1984 z28 (basically an l98 swap)
anyway went to start . just crank but no start, have spark but no injector pulse confirmed power and ground to injecotrs as well as ecm ground, tried unplugging tps and maf to double check still no injectors

i checked the Refernce pulse purple/white wire and got some wierd readings sometimes i had 1 volt even with the key off sometime i would get half a volt

so went went to remove the old ignition module and presto the connector for the pickup coil crumbled in my hands ahhhh pick up coil reads ok 700 ohms

are those leads reversable or not one is marke n and one is maked p on the module but i have no way of know which wire is which
ps i checked i had continutiy in that purple/white wire from the dist to the ecm too by the way

PLEASE HELP

steve

Re: ATTN: gmtech etc

the pickup coil leads can be put on either way on the module, but you may have problems if they are reversed. i have seen the leads being reversed cause anything from a no start to misfire & poor performance. sometimes they run fine & you may be ok, but i would recommend to go a head & replace the pickup coil to be on the safe side.
