New member with a tuning question
Hi Guys, I am new to this site & it looks like a great one!
I bought a 1987 Iroc camaro back in 1989 & drove it until 1995. I have had it stored since that time, & have always started it every year & kept it clean.
This year the car is 20 years old & qualified for wisconsin collector plates & insurance. So, I am driving it again for the first time, in a long time. It seems to be running just fine, with no issues except flat spots in the tires.
Here's the question I have. When the car is first started from cold, It starts right up & then stumbles for about 10 seconds or so. I usually have to hit the throttle once or twice, then its fine. I Do believe it has been this way for a long time. When I started it each year, it always did that, but I figured it was from lack of driving. But now, I am finding out thats not the case.
It's possible it did this back in the early 90's too, But I really just don't remember, But its bugging me now that I am going to drive it on nice days.
The car is all original, except the tires, & is the 5.7 TPI automatic with 65K miles on the clock. Nothing has ever been modified.
Thanks for listening, & let me know your thoughts. I can take a video if it would help, But I am hoping this might be a common TPI thing?
Thanks again, Carl

Re: New member with a tuning question
I just went out to the car, to video tape the start up. IT didn't do it!
Weird, Maybe it didn't sit long enough from last night when I pulled it into the garage? Or, I just need to video record each start up. Lol
