Need some help with wiring

Need some help with wiring
well to begin the story i was driving down the road smelled something burning. started to pull over and the car died. let it sit a minute and turned the key forward, no fuel pump prime. thought fuel pump was dead. so i get back to the house and jumper a wire from my battery to my fuel pump, spins up fine. so i start looking for messed up wires. i'm not getting any power to any of my relays up front on the firewall. the MAF, Fan, or Fuel Pump relay. What I need to know is where do the cluster of orange wires draw power from? they look like they go in to the car where the ECM is but i dont want to dig in there unless needed. I thought they would get power somewhere in the engine bay. If anyone has a complete wiring diagram it would be greatly appreciated.
any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Generaly the bundle of wires that are coming out of the passenger side fender area are coming from the ECM. All the computer controlled stuff hooks to those. the wires that go into the firewall on the driver side are your main wires. none of them(that I've ever seen) go to the ECM.
which car were you looking for a diagram for? you've got 2 listed.

sorry. just looked again at your pictures and saw TPI. must be the 87. PM sent.

Re: Need some help with wiring
thank you so much for the wiring diagram. looking at the diagram it shows 3 orange wires going into the ecm. 2 of the orange wires are to my relays that are dead. so is it possible that my ECM went? running a wire from the battery to those wires the car starts and runs no problem but does the ecm control whether or not those wires get power?
edit: is there a way that the ECM isn't getting power?

I don't think that the ECM supplies them they're power. I think you might have somehow blown your relays. I'd try replacing them first. not sure about the price of an ECM, never had to buy one. but I'm gonna assume it's more than a couple relays. So let's hope it's just the realys.

thing is the relays work when i put power to them... that's why im confused. my guess is wherever it is fused either the fuse is blown or disconnected. looking over the diagram more it looks like the ecm gets power from the same source as the relays.
problem is it says inline fuse. all the other ones say the fuse they go to in the fuse block under the dash. anyone know where the fuse is?

Have you checked the ECM fuse on the passenger side mounted next to the battery ? That fuse directly powers the ECM from the engine compartment. Do you get any dash lights such as service engine soon? If that fuse is blown no ECM but make sure that there is no short in the wire before retrying it..
