new 350 oil pressure issues

hey guys i recently (see today) installed a l05 in my 84 camaro it is stock except for the heads which are ported(by me) and backcut valves and a three angle valve job (they are 193's) and an lt1 cam (roller) with all the appropriate parts (ie spider and reatiner plate etc...) new bearings rod and main and cam and melling hv55 pump. the engine runs fine with two possible exceptions

1. oil pressure seems high to me approximatly 50-55 psi hot idle @1000 rpm

2. the alternator (i swapped from v-belts to serpetine ) seems so jump around alot. for example it may read 13.2-14.2 volts at the battery im not familiar with these type alternators at times it will go as low as 12.8 ??
the battery is weak at only 12.1 with the engine off
any help would be great
