Need help identifing a fluid leak

All right guys, I need your help in telling me what a clear-yellowish fluid could possibly be leaking from my engine. The puddle in my driveway is getting bigger everyday and it is worrying me. I don't want my car to break again because of a fluid leak. If you know what it might be and if you could tell me where it could be coming from, I would be very thankful. Decided I would ask you guys first and then a mechanic. Since you guys know the third gens very well. BTW if you need to know, the engine is the stock 305ci 5.0L H.O. and its carburated. Hope that helps you with finding it out.

Hahahaha, yeah I'm pretty sure its not cat ****! To thick to be. (I touched it). And yeah, I do play Counter-Strike: Source. What server do you play on? I played for a clan called Egokillers, and I played for one called Blindside. But life has taken me away from the joys of CS:S.

Hmm never heard of house of pain. Also, I will be going to AutoZone and possibly my mechanic to identify the exact fluid that is leaking. What color is powersteering fluid? I know you guys said it is probably anti-freeze, but this fluid has a thick consistency to it. I don't know what to do. All I see when I look at that puddle is another $750 dollar repair.

PS fluid is usually clear, some i have seen have a bit of a pink tint to it though.

Why not just look around for whats leaking...

Check fluid levels. If a/f is low thats most likely the problem, if PS fluid is low that could be it.

I'll do that tommarow. Its already 11:00 at night where I am. Whats wierd is when I look for the leak, I can't find anything, but the driveway tells it all! But I will get under the car tommarow. Thanks bud.

Check you overflow tank, if it's empty or low, your prolly leaking coolant. Start her up pop the hood and inspect. Check all your hoses and look. Look nice and hard. Try revving it up and see if you notice any spraying/leaking. Isn't it great owning a GM product!? So many problems already!

But like 84z28350 said, check all the fluids. Can't hurt to make sure your in tip-top shape. It's a old car, who knows when they were last checked/changed.

Just taste it. If it's sweet, you know exactly what it is. I've done it before. A tiny bit on the tongue will not be harmful.

Well I solved this problem. When my mechanic overhauled my carb, they filled up the antifreeze to much. So when my car was running hot she had alot more than she could hold. So she dumped it on my driveway via the overflow. Nothing big and major. Found that out before reading these posts. But to see my bigger problem, go here.

Help Me!
