I drove 600 miles to get my brother's Camaro running. Ron is broke, disabled, and has cancer, but his spirit is strong and he loves his car!!!!

The car would not start after being towed by for a parking violation. The fuel pump was not pumping, and our other brother had diagnosed it as being the fuel pump. The car would start fine when you dripped fuel down the Throttle Body, so they figured "fuel pump".

It turns out that the problem was the ECM (computer). It somehow had gotten toasted. The tell-tale clue was the blown in-line fuse that is located near the battery under the hood. We replaced the ECM (expensive when you are a long ways from home), and it ran perfectly.

Also, the tow truck operator crushed the rear brake line on one side. It was as flat as a nickel. If you ever get towed, watch out for damage here too. Some of these tow-truck operators are vultures, although most of them are decent, hardworking people.

I hate getting my IROC towed. I had to have it done once (thank *** for RoadGard!) when teh ignition module went out and it was late and didn't want to leave it in the area it was in. Talk about keeping a close eye on the guy! Everything worked out, though ... car made it back and I had it running the next day.
