I could use some help from the roller cam crowd,here.
I'm running Pro-Topline 220cc heads with 1.55 dia. roller springs.Up until now,I've been running an older set of Erson rockers.They have put their time in,I've had them on a TON of smallblocks.
But when I went roller,they interfered with the large springs,so I had to grind them down,which I'm told is common.
I've wasted several pushrods along the way,it would look like I had plenty of clearence,but after it would bend a pushrod,I'd find a boogered spot where the retainer had bound up the rocker.I'd grind a bit more,until I stopped having trouble.

Today,my fears were realized,a rocker popped.Not at the strip,not cruising the local hangout,not ripping down a back highway,no.That would have been too simple.
It had to happen on the chassis dyno shootout at the Street Machine Nationals.
Needless to say,I'm out of the running,but now I'm looking to others with this question,what brand of rockers are you using with your roller springs?I'm not "for" or "against" any particular brand,I just want to know before I lay down a bunch of cash what will clear and what won't.

Anyone?I'm all ears!

comp steel rockers don't fail because of fatigue like aluminum and are often lighter

Shell out the cash for some gold crane roller rockers! I havent herd complaints about them yet. Thats what I want in my next engine.

Comp Pro Magnum rockers. No modifications required. The steel design puts less weight and mass on the end so there's more room for larger springs.

The next step up from these is some shaft mounted rockers like Jessel which are very expensive.

Another vote for the quality and design of the Comp Pro Mags. Between the body design and a good 7/16" stud, they're pretty beefy.

Draggin' this up from the dead to share what I've learned.
First,there are 2 styles of Crane Gold rockers.1 is a wide body,which will clear roller springs with very mild clearancing.The narrow type,however,is more for near stock applications,and will only work with lesser spring ODs.

2nd,Comp Pro Magnum rockers leave a bit to be desired in tight clearance situations,I bought a set,and they come nowhere near working for my application.(got a real nice set for sale in the classifieds section).There is a notch above the Pro Magnums,Hi-Tech Stainless,by Comp Cams.They will clear with no modification,at least in my application.So,hopefully we all learn from my mistakes,and with a little luck,someone will own my nice set of Pro Magnums that can use them,anyone got a set of Stainless Comps for sale?
