quick map sensor help

Hello all,

I have installed a 5.7 from a 90 camaro in my 89 2.8 and I'm just wondering where the vaccum hose goes from the map sensor. Does it tee into the hose that runs from the EGR sol to the throttle body? The vaccum diagrams just don't show it properly. Thanks.

DO NOT connect it to the vacuum port on the throttle body. That port is a timed vacuum port, and only provides partial vacuum after a specified throttle opening is reached. There is supposed to be no vacuum at that port with the throttles in the closed position.

Connect the MAP line directly to the plenum. Tee off the FPR or HVAC vacuum fitting if necessary.
