For all of you crazy 305 guys
Well I was on ebay looking for some vortecs for the new motor I am planning on building and I stumble upon these:

Just thought Id share b/c I know the reason some of the 305 guys dont run vortecs is becuase you have to mill them just to keep your stock compression ratio.

Don’t buy those!! That guy is full of it. They come from Pro-Topline with 1.94 valves. Also he probably picked them up for about $463 complete. The he stripped them, and after you buy them he will sell you all the stuff they came with when he paid $463 for them. Also look at the exhaust bowl at the 11 o'clock position. Notice the ridge that was left there after the Factory put the seats in. If these heads were bowl blended that that would not be there.

Why not just open a summit catalog and get some damn good dart heads for $600? Man I wish I had it as easy as you SBC guys, any aftermarket heads I want even worth a damn are $1000+.

I was looking in a summit catalog and I see SBC heads flowing 250+ at .550 for $600-700 assembled. Even the crappy Edelbrock performance heads for lt1's are in the $1000 range and they are on par with lt4's which flow 240-250 at .550.
