Deleting heater core

Hello,
I've searched the board and found a lot of info about replacing the heater core but nothing on removing it completely. I need to know if I can remove the whole box that holds it without affecting the ac system. Also, what kind of rerouting would I need for the hoses under the hood? Do I only need to run a hose from the intake to the water pump? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Well I'm not real sure but if you remove the box I would think it would effect your a/c.

As far as rerouting hoses, take the two hoses that go into the fire wall to the heater core and connect them together. That's how I have my T/A right now. Heater core went out a few months ago.

If you are removing the heater core, like I did, you don't need to re-route any hoses. All I did was put brass plugs in place of the outlets for the heater. Theres one in the water pump, and one in the intake manifold.
