Power Steering Brackets HELP PLEASE!!
Due to weather and illness, it's taken me almost 3 weeks to get my car back together. I don't like it, but what can I do.
Anyhow, it's been so long, that I don't remember how the powersteering pump and air condition brackets hook back up.
I have an 84 L69, and I took good notes on everything else that I figured may get confusing (I've never worked on these cars before), but neglected to do so with the powersteering and air conditioner brackets. If someone had a picture, they would get recommended for "saintdom"!!
Please help.

gruv, Unfotuantelyu I cant seem to get mY hands on a Camera, but I can tell you that there is one braket that Goes to the exhuast manifold and the block. The stud on the bracket attached to the PS pump slides on this one.
the bracket attached to the pump bolts to a stud screwed Into the Head, wich is its pivot point.
There is another slider that is down between the pump and the waterpump.
I doubt that helps, but maybe it will give you an idea.
Or you could be cool Like me, And just Forsake power steering!

Bort,
I think that helps. I'll find out. I wish I could've gotten to this before my memory warranty was expired. My memory is only good for about 24 hours, that's why I can't remember my wife's birthday
That's my story and I'm sticking too it!!!

hahaha
dude, I hear that ! )
Thats Why I find it best to Just learn how the system works, Instead of memorizing where stuff goes.
that Way when your memory fails you, or the situation changes a little, youc an still Figure it out!
Vaccum hose routing is a perfect example. A brotha could go insane trying to memorize the routeing of all those little hoses, But once you understand the function of them, Its all crystal clear
And as a side note, When i tried to reinstall my power steering this weekend, I couldnt remember for the hell of Me how it went back in either.
So I started grabbing brackets out of my Bucket o' Brackets, and found the ones that seemed to line up )
To bad the pump was still leaking like a seive, I welded the wrong part prolly should have checked that prior the 2 hours to put it in

Here's something to make things even funnier.
I couldn't figure out how everything went back together because the bottom mounting bracket had somehow been kicked and slid all of the way under the shelves!!!!
All of a sudden it was incredibly easy!!!!
LOL
