LT1 plug wire boot shields & Taylor wires

I need some plug wire boot heat shields and was looking at the LT1 shields as a cheap alternative to the ones that Taylor sells. The Taylor wires have somewhat of a uniquely shaped boot, and I was wondering if anyone had used the LT1 heat shields with these wires. Did they fit OK?

I wouldn't know about Taylor wires, but they fit 8mm Packard wires just fine:

I am using the above on my 8MM wires with very good results. No more burnt boots, my bigest problem with SLP headers. Thanks for the info Vader.
