converting to non-EGR
alright guys, what all encompases converting my new engine (an l69 out of a monte carlo) to a non-EGR setup. Is it simply putting on a non-EGR manifold and getting rid of the tube that runs up to the EGR, or is there more to it?
thanks

you don't have to get a new manifold. just bolt a block off plate (a piece of sheet metal) to the egr hole in your manifold, and take out the tubing. for TPI anyway.
You'll be throwing the EGR code all day long though.

Axle/Gears: No idea
I used a piece of an older exhaust manifold gasket (the methalic section, obvious) as a blockoff plate, but the BLM's were more lean and the combustion chambers were overheated. Finally; I went back with this project.
Since the error code was disabled in the PROM, no problem with this.
