Head Gasket Thickness?

I have a '91 TBI 350 that I'm rebuilding, it has 8.3:1 compression and a .038" head gasket. I wanted to put a thinner head gasket in it, I was thinking .015". Would this cause any clearance problems with the piston/valves? What is the thinnest head gasket that would work? Thanks.

won't cause any clearance issues also won't cause and preformance gains (that you'll notice). i wouldn't run a bare shim gasket. not sure what the thickness is of a coated shim gasket, something like .019 or .021 i think.

ede- thanks for the response. I know I'll only get an unnoticable amount of performance, but I'm doing half a dozen small things that don't cost any money in hopes of getting performance up to what my stock engine should be at. The engine is in my daily driver/winter truck and has 235,000 miles on it, I'm just trying to get 5 more years out of it til I pay my car off.
