A/C Delete Blower box???
I got all the pipes out along with the condenser and compressor, now where can i go about getting the blower box to get the rest of the pipes out from the box.
I thought I read that the dealers stopped carrying them or something like that. So, I'm hoping some off the wall manufacture might have one laying around in the back of a warehouse or something. And, I thought someone fabricated one from a S10 awhile back.
I got the pulley now I just want to do something with the ugly part of my firewall like you see here ......

Yah, they are hard to find. Last year one was GIVEN to me of all things, and I found one at a junkyard for $50. Talk about luck. Anyway, I used one, and the other I gave to a friend. Here's a pic of mine installed.

GM doesn't carry them anymore and their slow parts storage (some other company) doesn't have them either.
Hit the boneyards and ebay. I got mine off ebay for 50. The boneyard wanted 85 for one.

I had asked about using an S-10 box a while back and most people weren't sure. I have an S-10 without A/C and it looks a lot like the F-body one, but it definately is not the same part. I am not ruling out making it work though.... It may be able to be made to work without too much fabrication, but I never did find out. I found one for sale on the classifieds about a month ago and snatched it up the second I saw the add . Unless you just cannot live without A/C, I have to suggest this 'mod' to everyone as I now have more than enough room to change all my plugs from the top as well as full - un-cluttered - access to the entire passenger side of the engine and better underhood airflow for cooling.

I have a 92 GTA.
I got my airbox from an 85 camaro. Only 2 of the bottom mounting holes didn't line up and the wiring for the fan was different. Oh yeah, I also had to do a little cutting to get it to fit at the center of the car.
Otherwise it went right in.
