Unknown burnt up connectors?

Does anyone know what this connector is for? Car is a 89 Firebird 5.0 TBI. When trying to diagnose a different issue my friend noticed this connector. Its all burnt up but doesn't seem to affect anything in the car. We tried to look up what it was but there isn't a lot of info on the web and I don't have access to ALLDATA. Connector is on a wiring harness behind the distributer passenger side near the AC. Our closest guess is that it's for the AC. It doesn't run either way.

It's not burned up. It's grease, and its factory.
for the hvac fan.

You were right! It just looked really weird. Grease is all solid
