89 camaro swapped from a TBI 305 to a 1992 truck 350
So I made a post a few months ago with this turd camaro of mine, wouldn't run worth a crap and I managed to sort it out. Got the MAF hooked up right, grounds fixed and timing set right. It revs and runs well. The issue now is that it will not start on its own. If you use ether and crack the throttle it will start and run fine up until it gets to around 180-200. Then it refuses to idle at all. I changed the o2 sensor just barely, it improved how it ran but did not fix the issue. Anyone got any idea of what could be the deal?? Thanks, this old school TBI stuff is still kicking my ***.
ps. It will idle when its hot if you hold the throttle above like 1500-1600 rpm but if you let off it dies

What is the fuel pressure?
Connect a scan tool, find out what the computer is trying to tell you. "Codes" can be helpful, but the real info is in the data stream. Verify all the sensors, verify the computer outputs--timing advance, EGR operation, etc.

I'll have to double check the fuel pressure but for now I think it may be something else. I finally hooked up the old OBD 1 scanner to try to read codes or data and it refused to pull anything. Another test I tried to run gave me the " ECM is operating in 'limp home' mode." So I'm thinking maybe the computer?

I believe they're both speed density (MAP) and I took the 87 ecm and changed the prom chip just to test if it would start. But currently trying to pull codes it has the original ecm and prom chip, But it is a reman pcm so it may have had issues before I've never torn into it before
