Advice 383TBI Configuration

Hello all,

I currently own a 92 Camaro RS with essentially an entirely custom drivetrain, and was looking to see if any parts should be changed to work more properly together. This engine was entirely put together by the previous owner, so some specs are unknown or im taking his word for them.

Im wondering if maybe there is opportunity to increase fuel pressure, injector size, etc or if just an updated prom chip / tuning is required? The engine seems to run out of steam past 4k-4.5k rpm, which isnt a huge deal as Im not racing the car, but might as well have it run as efficiently as possible anyways.

Let me know if any other specs would help, or if data logging would be required for further input.

Specs Im Sure of

zz4 350 stroked to 383cid
Holley Pro-Jection Intake Manifold
TBI-220 670cfm
18psi fuel pressure regulator spring
upgraded fuel pump (measure 20-21psi via fuel pressure gauge while engine is running)
65pph 5.7L Police Injectors TBI Injectors

2" dual downpipes / dual cats to 3" single exhaust

Specs told by previous owner:

'world performance' heads
scat rotating assembly
h-beam rods
forged pistons
'largest California smog legal' camshaft (unknown specs) has a slight choppy idle and really smoothes out right at 2000rpm.
'custom' prom chip (unknown specs)

Thank you!
Dan

Datalog with tunerpro rt to see how fueling is. Or better yet install a wideband gauge.
you should also look at dynamic efi system . But the stock ecm is tunable.

If you pull a valve cover you should be able to see some markings as to what World heads are on it, if they are in fact on it. You aren't using the factory air cleaner assembly, are you? They are garbage.

Gotcha, I can definitely find that out, thank you for the tip. And no on the stock cleaner! Using an aftermarket with a much larger intake size.
