Engine: 305 cross fire
Transmission: stock
Axle/Gears: stock
Timing
Need some help I'm trying to find how to set the base timing . So that the computer won't move it .

Car: 1989 Iroc-Z Camaro
Engine: TBI,5.0

On my "89" TBI its =
Start car and idle until the car is at operating temp. Disconnect the EST wire, adjust timing, reconnect EST wire. Shut off car .
This is what the EST wire on my car looks like with a brown wire with black stripe.
Its over near the blower motor.
( EST = Electronic Spark Timing )
You might need to also set " Minimum Idle Speed" when your done.
