Tbi high idle after new FPR...
I have bought a 89 Formula 305 (E)a few months ago, and started on making it a DDriver. I had originally passed AZ emissions, and then started to have some erratic rpm fluctuations while driving. I started chasing vacuum leaks and looked at everything -
the vacuum "ball" reservoir was leaking - Fixed it.
the thermac hose had a gash it it - fixed it.
used a vacuum pump to test EGR- it leaked- replaced it with a used one I have- no more leak. The PO had put a shim to not have egr work? WHY?
I changed the fuel filter - last time it was changed was 2/11/2004!!!
I also just changed the FPR diaphram, and replaced the base gasket (paper thin) with the 3/8" thick one included with the carb/tbi kit.
Now I have a high idle (2k)in N, 1100rpm in D.
I think I need to reset the Idle to get it where It should be, correct?

Update: Car starts, but is putting a ton of fuel into the intake manifold and its coming out the tailpipe.
The only things I changed were this round was the FPR and the EGR.
Fixed
**make sure you use the right TBI base gasket**
