4 pin male into 5 pin esc
I have Swapped my 305 for a 350 and it runs great except when i get on it the check engine light comes on so i checked the codes it was four quick flashes and then three quick flashes. i beleive that is code 43 which is esc so i looked at it then i saw i have a 5 pin esc which i got from i beleive a 96 truck and my 92 connectors that went into my old esc. I have searched around and cant find anything on this missing wire can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks

Re: 4 pin male into 5 pin esc
Not exactly sure of what you are saying. However, the stock ESC module has 5 pins. The stock connector has 5 slots for pins, of which only 4 are used. The 4 wires are: +ignition, ground, knock sensor, and knock signal to the ECM.
If the SES turns on with heavy throttle it is most likely the forced knock test failing.
If the SES turns on at some random point then it is from run-away knock counts. This can be caused by a bad sensor, module, or wire.

A search on this board (TBI) for knock using my name as the poster will bring up several threads that go into further detail.
