And now im ready for an improvement, i want to purchase some 062 heads off ebay for 300$ and i ordered a full mac exhaust which was about 900$ and want to get a gmpp vortec intake. my question is will i need a better fuel pump or better injectors (currently 350 injectors) and maybe someone with more experience than me could suggest a cam, and valve springs. How much hp will this combo make?

I am doing a similar build up right now. From what I have read, you should be fine with an ultimate TBI and 350 injectors. You will just need to kick up the fuel pressure and get a 190 or 255 lph pump. I have a 190 pump right now and am going with e-tech heads, LT-4 cam, GMPP intake ( bought it bored to 2") and need to buy a tbi. I'll probably go with one with a 2" bore and 68 lb'hr injectors and tune it with my new EBL. I hope that the 190 holds up.

I went with the e-tecs cause of the restrictions of the stock vortec heads. I would have had to get my spring seats cut for the LT-4 springs, rocker studs installed, cut down the valve guide for clearance, pushrod holes enlarged ..... and I think I had the bad vortecs with the pressed in valve seats that loose a shoot load of flow. Check out robertfranks thread on tuning a vortec cam. It has a link to good cam info.

I have some LT-4 springs if you decide to go above .480 lift and put the money into the heads. SDparts sell vortec heads already modded for higher lift. Or you can go with bee-hive springs. Some articles say that you can run up to .525 lift, but others here on the board say that you will still need to cut the valve guides down for more than .480 lift.

Stock vortecs are the best stock heads that you can get for the gen1 SBCs, but they do require some work to put a good cam in it.
