92 Camaro RS 305 TBI - hp wanted!
Ok, I have posted before about doing an LT1 350 swap into my car, but now I am thinking I may want to keep the 305 TBI in it. I am not looking to race my car, I am just looking to get 275-300 hp out of it. Right now the only thing that I have done to the car is I have a set of 1 5/8" headers and a 3inch cat back borla exhaust. Can these power gains I am looking for be achieved in my 305 TBI for around the same price as a 350 LT1 swap?

You can bolt on a cam and some Vortec heads (for a sprint car) and you should be well over 300 HP at the motor. That's far cheaper than a LT1 swap IMO.
DETAILS
Now that engine was carbed but, it was also the lower compresion version. You will probably need a tune to get the full power out of it but you should make 300 HP at the motor with ease.
If you want cheaper, you could always buy nitrous but that adds up once you start to refill the bottle.
