Fuel pump question need help

I have an 85 camaro base model with a carbed 305 orginaly and i now have a 350 but i want to go to a TBI setup and i got an intank fuel pump a walbro 255lph and i want to put it in my car. I have been told that some carbed cars came with helper pumps or something im not sure but i was wondering if there will be any wiring back there for the fuel pump and/or if i need to get a new pick up to be able to mount the fuel pump in tank? so i think what i am asking is is there a helper pump in my car? If not is there wires back there already to hook it up? Do i need a new pickup to mount the fuel pump in the tank? Any help would be great thanks

Yes you will need a new pick up get one from any 87-92 f-body with EFI it will fit right in to your tank. Your car will not have the wiring for the fuel pump. I'm not sure about the conector on the carb cars( it should be right in the midle of the front of the tank) THe new pick up wiring has a 3 prong male type plug. Make sure when you run the new wiring in side the car you put a protective sleeve over the wires( I don't think a wire short to the fuel pump would be good), relay and fuse. The sender should work with your dash. You will also need to redo your fuel lines, or find a tbi f-body and rape the fuel lines and sender.
