Car: 1990 Camaro RS
Engine: Juiced 5.0 TBI - 300rwhp
Transmission: T5
Axle/Gears: 3.42 Eaton Posi, 10 Bolt
Mods:
Suspension - (right now since i broke a few peices)
Spohn Panhard
SwayBars
Poly Bushings (sway-bars, Trans-mount)
in the current setup, factory torque arm, and LCA's ( see above reason)
Engine -
stock but K&N, 160* t-stat, 5/8" TBI Spacer.
Exaust -
3" Catco Hi-Flow CAT
3" Flowmaster American Thunder
Driveline
Lightweight GMPP Flywheel
Centerforce DF clutch
Pro-5.0 Shifter
LS1 Alum. Driveshaft
Eaton Posi
3.42 Richmond gears
i went to the track like this, with full interior, and the works. on crapy 235/60/r15 BFG Radial TA tires.
results : 16.1@87mph , i was only able to get a 2.64 60' time (tires suck, and so did the track), also, i was having some problem with my custom chip, so that was done on the factory chip, with 0* of timing, i normaly run a chip with 4* built in, and some working over of spark and fuel tables. i know there is a 15.7-15.8 run in this car, if i could get some traction.
i also dyno'd this before the exasut mods, with a clogged CAT, i was only able to best 110rwhp (at 2200 rpm, thank you clogged cat) but did put down 255rwtq at that same point 2200rpm) after that it fell on its face.
BTW, snflupigus, i really like the TOTW, it helps keep the board from having the same 4 questions all the time

Car: 2001 Camaro SS
Engine: LS1
Transmission: A4
Axle/Gears: 3.23
LT1 cam and z28 valve springs
Edelbrock TBI Performer manifold
3.42 richmond gears and SLP posi unit (big seat-of-pants difference)
MSD 6A ingnition box and Blaster Coil
Before summer is over:
3" high flow cat, and maybe a hooker cat-back
Im working on tuning my own chips, but i need an adapter for my ecm to use the 29C256 chips (can anyone help me here)
Ive got the aldl scanner thing i made all wired up in my car, and ive got a laptop and PPII
i think that's all I've done this summer... this was my first summer to have a real job
results: much faster, still not fast enough
no track times yet...

Only mods so far are:
Non-drop base open element
Catback with Flowmaster 80 series
6* of timing advance
3.42 gears with the zexel torsen posi carrier
New Z-rated tires all around
The car really hooks up hard now off the line with the gears, posi, and tires. I should be going to the track very soon and I'm hoping for a low to mid 15 but we'll see.
As far as my engine swap, I've been swaying back and forth as to what to do with it but I think I have it down now and am starting to tear down the engine any day now.

So far this summer,
*I have built all new exhaust..(EGR no longer works from lack of backpressure).
*Added home-made sub frame connectors
*Made some custom door panels
*Developed some ping since the exhaust that I can't seem to get rid of.
*Just ordered all the fixin's for the new motor.

Mods are all in the sig, working on tuning the chips. I think I almost have her tuned right. She's going to make it to the track sooner or later. If I have a set of slicks when I get her there I'm shooting for 13s. Without slicks hopefully around a 14 flat. Time will tell sooner or later.

Car: 91 RS
Engine: 350 TBI
Transmission: 700R4
MODS:
HyperCRAP cap and rotor / MSD wires / Rapidfire plugs at .045 gap / MSD coil / Advanced timing 8*
3.23 gears / SLP posi / Trans-go shift kit / Vette Servo / tranny cooler
KYB struts and shocks / Global West steering brace / Spohn SFC's, LCA's with relocation brackets, and panhard bar
Jet Fan switch / 180* t-stat / Stewart Stage 1 WP
K&N open element w/ Xtreme Top
Dynomax cat-back
Today I just installed all the Spohn stuff. The car definately feels tighter, but I only drove home from the shop, so it's only been about 2 miles to compare it on.
The biggest difference is a tie between advancing the timing and the gears w/ posi. It's like even on the interstate, I'm still in my power band. I highly recommend the 3.23's if you drive on the interstate alot.
The advanced timing really gave a SOTP difference, but it sucks having to buy high octane fuel, and even with that, I still have a little knocking at low RPM's.
Assuming my car was still putting out the stock ratings when I started, I picked up 10 HP and 8 lb/ft with the K&N and advanced timing.
Also, if you're looking for a nice quiet, but deep exhaust note, I highly recommend the Dynomax setup. No annoying drone what-so-ever.
I have no track times yet, but maybe when I get back from overseas, I'll knock some out.

you're telling me.
i dont know how fast im going but i am going to the 1/4 mile track for the first time friday (8/1/2003). however i know i would be going WAY faster if it wasnt for these two things:
"Stock 1.5 rockers with screwed-in studs and guideplates
Ported and polished bowl blended smogger heads"
and
my current torque converter
those two things (mainly the heads) are really hurting me

Hey brody, I've been thinking about boxing my stock LCA's as well, did you notice much of an improvement when you did them? Does it really stiffen it up good or should I just wait and shell out the dough for some spohn tubular arms or something of the like?

Car: A Camaro
Engine: Weak
Transmission: Weaker
Everything in the sig plus SLP Headers, Cutout, Harwood 4" Outlaw Z Hood with a cold air box (air box isn't done yet), Subframe connectors (coming soon), and gettin' some prom burning equipment pretty soon too.
I'm hoping for mid 14's off the bottle and high 12's on a 100-150 shot or so (whatever it takes I'm crazy enough to do it )
Good Luck to all
