UMI Vs. Spohn
I am looking at going with one company for items for a LS Engine swap like frame connectors, K-member, transmission cross member for 4L70E and lower A-arms.
is this a good idea going with one company, i am thinking that this option could possible help with ease of installation ?
Also would UMI or Spohn be the better option
Thanks Rich

Re: UMI Vs. Spohn
I personally do not like the spohn A-arm design. They newer design created a hell of a time installing the spring. The older design which they went away from for some reason was a lot better but harder to come by. I would go with the UMI a arm. As for the trans crossmember you should look into the holley/hooker as it has the torque arm mount integrated into it. Makes room for great exhaust clearance.

Re: UMI Vs. Spohn
Thank you i will check out the holly/hooker crossmember
most of the posts that i find are from 5 plus years ago and i would think that there have been some good upgrades. Every time that i look at the UMI pictures i think that the parts look very nicely made

Re: UMI Vs. Spohn
I have a bunch of UMI and spohn parts. They're both well made. I feel like UMI has more stuff at this point. I haven't had any issues with either. I also have some founders parts. To be honest, I've been happy w all of them. There really isn't a wrong way to go. My spohn crossmember needed a little grinding to fit. My UMI weight jacks needed some grinding to fit. That's how it goes sometimes.
