Touring tech lowering springs??

i installed belltech lowering springs on the front of my 86 trans am and it just didn’t lower it as much as i’d like they stated it would drop the front 1” but i had factory springs that i’m guessing were sagging and it only lowered it about half an inch. i cut springs in the back and they don’t ride bad but i just don’t like knowing that i cut them it just doesn’t seem like the right thing to do. has anyone installed the touring tech springs they say it’s 1.8 front and 1.6 rear, they are just a lot more affordable than the eibach kits but i haven’t seen any on a car.

this is what it looks like right now:

I have had my best luck buying moog springs and trimming them to fit.

I honestly wouldn't want my 'bird lower than yours... I am close to that height and tend to drag the passenger header more often than I care to admit.

yeah i scrape on my cat because for some reason it hangs down way too low but once i lower it i’m removing the cat so i think it’ll be okay. i drive this car very cautiously already and have only ever scraped the cat.

These on ebay?
Touring Tech Lowering Springs 1.8"F/1.6"R for 1988-1992 Camaro Firebird TT-G209 | eBay

They're the springs in this video for cheap ebay springs. He seems pleased with them. Front looks about the same as yours, but the rear looks a bit lower than yours. With most brands going for around $300, sounds like he figures, for only $100, if they suck, then it's not a big loss.

yep those are the ones, i’m kind of in the same boat as him because i just ordered shocks and i’ll need an alignment after those so i might as well try some different springs while i’m in there. thanks for finding that video

Re: Touring tech lowering springs??

Thinking of trying these on my 83. They say 88 to 92 in the description but the drop compatabliity chart says they fit 83. Is there a difference in stock springs from 83 to 92? Don't want to get these then not be able to use them.

i’m pretty sure they will work. almost all springs say 82-92 so i’m not sure why these say 88 but they should work just fine. i ended up buying the eibach sportlines because the lotek ones i settled on were out of stock, i didn’t want to spend that much on springs but i’ve heard so many good things about the sportlines.
