Type II steering pump in thirdgen
I've spent about 8 hours searching the net for anyone who has put a type II steering pump in a thirdgen, but no luck. I need something better than this Saginaw pump, it is spewing fluid all over on the road course. I do have a small cooler inline with the factory cooler lines.

Nearly all new engine conversions use a type II pump, so it works fine. To run it on your SBC, just find/make a bracket

Yeah, the brackets are what I'm having a hard time with. The factory bracket holds both the alternator and the PS pump. If you fabricate a new bracket for the PS pump, how do you mount the alternator?

I ended up buying a Tuff Stuff pump that came with a much better cap, I will post results after I see if this fixes my overflowing issue.
