Global West rear lowering springs
Anyone use Global West S-39 or S-40 rear lowering springs? Opinions?

Re: Global West rear lowering springs
when i was designing my suspension i considered the global west rear springs. GW tech recommended the S40 190# linear springs for use with a stock length torque arm and the S67 100# linear springs for use with a short torque arm. I ended up going with Ground Control Weight Jacks for the adjustable ride height and cause i could choose my spring rates much higher than all other options. To try and avoid spending the money for weight jacks, I almost used Eibach pro kit fronts and GW S40 rears because they were the highest, linear rates i could find besides weight jacks.
Although I can't speak for ride height or the S39 springs you mentioned I know I would buy GW rear springs especially for the linear rates. They were my #2 choice to weight jacks. If they are too tall you can always cut them as long as you do it right.

Re: Global West rear lowering springs
I'm still reading about suspension set up and wasn't sure if 190# was too much or not. Front will probably around 800# or a bit under and I'd read somewhere a ratio of 5:1 is about right that's why I thought the S40 might be too much but can't find what the S39 rate is.

Re: Global West rear lowering springs
Thats what i did. Read read read. slicktrackgod, big mods, pablo, and dbl_tke are few of my favorite people to read. lots of other good advice on here. FRRAX.com is really good too.
i called global west to get all my information on their products. I've heard of the 5:1 ratio too. Not 100% sure how important that is. Ground control gave me 850 fronts and 250 rears. i questioned the higher rear rate but they insisted because of the added weight of my stereo equipment and dynamat. I haven't installed any of the rear suspension yet so i can't comment on that combo yet.
I really believe the 190# rears would be good. A lot of the weight jack guys run 200-225# rears on their street cars.
