Advice on suspension next step?
I'm slowly setting up my car primarily for auto-x and there are many threads about the desired final set up but most can't get there in one step so I'm about to take the next step. I've replaced my original rear shocks with KYB AGXs added LCARBS and cut 1 coil off the stock (V6) springs for a 1"+ drop. As soon as I can I want to get the AGX struts, spherical mounts, poly or del-a-lum A arm bushes and replace all the sloppy original steering components and lower ball joints. Currently the A arms are more or less level (parallel to the ground) and I have 36/24 sway bars. So... I'd like to drop the front by cutting the springs or removing the isolators (no drop spindles in the foreseeable future) but how much is practical? How much to cut? Would the lowering mean adjusting the preferred alignment I've seen? I run 275/40/17 tires. Plus I have an '86 TA parts car so could I use the springs from that and cut them? Again how much? Also, with whatever the set up is, any suggestions for settings front and rear on the AGX struts/shocks?

You can use extended ball joints, they will lower your car a lil more and help suspension geometry. I have some unused KYB AGX struts for sale.

Any more advice on this? Especially if cut TA springs would be too stiff to use with a V6.

if you have the springs go ahead and try them. I don't know the exact amount to cut but they say 1/4 coil at a time. If you don't like them what are you out of? New Moog TA springs are cheap. New wheel bearings would be good while you are in there. I also painted my steering linkage and a-arms with por15.
You will definitely need an alignment. I found it cheaper to order a my moog steering linkage from summit than from a parts store.
