Power steering delete.

Is it possible without breaking anything to just pull the ps pump and call it a day?

Re: Power steering delete.

Turning will be a bitch.

Look for an 84-up S10 manual steering box. Only downside is they're 7.25 turns lock to lock. Direct bolt in after switching pitman arms.

Re: Power steering delete.

to turn the the front wheels left about 30* with a power steering box- it takes about 1 full turn of the steering wheel "assisted" because of the low ratio of leverage. Without assist, the force needed to turn the wheel that rapidly is like riding a road bicycle in top gear from a takeoff. You need to get a manual 'unassisted box" which is like a lower gear ratio/ higher leverage like an 25:1 ratio box rather than a 12:1 box that needs power assist. A manual box will take about two turns to get the same angle as a power box would do with one turn.
