Weight Jacks In Front

Weight Jacks In Front
I know that there’s a couple of people here that have done it, and some that have some experience with the parts… I’m considering cutting out the front spring pocket and installing weight jacks, with the threaded rod coming through the frame rails, adjustable from inside the engine compartment. Any idea how much height they add to the spring package? Suggestions on parts to use? Pics? Links?

I put them in the stock k-member
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/susp...g-vetruck.html
Berk put them in an aftermarket k-member

I used Eibach 9.5" tall 5.5" OD 850# springs
Used this swivel cup weight jack

I think you could easily use a 10.5" spring. I did everything from underneath - then ran at the track. One month later, started a LS2 swap and added/clean up some welds from up top. Swap time would be optimal time to do it, but not necessary. I did it on my back under jack stands. I used a cutting wheel, then an air chisel to cut the rind. Highly recommend increment cutting the rind, then hammer flat for welding like I show in my thread.

Re: Weight Jacks In Front
The weight jacks pictured are ground control units.

I've had a set installed for years.

I like the ground contol weight jacks I have had them for years. I did change the ones on the back to my own design this year much easier to adjust.

Re: Weight Jacks In Front
I used the same weight-jack/swiveler TEDSgrad used except I used Speedway springs as well. Same size etc. I did add a section of pipe to the hole in the frame rail in an effort to strengthen it some.

Crossfire- Im sure you still have no clue what I was talking about, and you probably never will. I love experts that later come ask for help on the same subject.
But hey, good luck
