Sub-frame Connectors Again
Well here is the age old question again. I have already used the search button to no avail so please dont say search. First off are the S&W Sub-frame connectors, http://www.swracecars.com/store/82-9...70=40-600.aspx, worth the extra money. And if not what is the next best thing, and are bolt ons just as good as weld ons. I feel that since most suspension pieces are bolted on anyway i dont see why sub-frame connectors would be any different. Thanks in advance.

bolt in subframe connecotrs have the problem of egging out the mounting holes over time and getting loose. However, bolt on ones usually have much larger mounting surfaces, which is good because it gives you more room to weld them on instead of bolting them on. Also you could prep and bolt them in, then drive to a shop to have them welded in.
the sw setup just have more mounting points and a DS loop, hence the extra cost. It does run under the floor similar ot the Alston/Mac ones, so you will loose a little ground clearance, but its very unlikely they will even hit anything on the road.

So are they worth the extra money, for an 84 trans am with a old vette 350 all stock suspension. Or should i go with like a spohn or something

thats ultimately up to you. It has a few features you will never need unless you are racing the car. I would look elsewhere unless you are planning to build the car into a drag street/strip car with a lot more power.

I have the Alston ones, they work well, the ones from Spohn and UMI are quite popular as well, i dont have much info on the BMR ones, but they are another route to look at.
Just make sure the ones you buy will work with stock exhaust, some dont and it will be mentioned in the description if they dont.

"stock" exhaust just reefers to the stock style routing, using pipes in the cats location, if you exhaust is not there anymore, like with long tube headers, then this is a non issue. But if you have any aftermarket exhaust that still runs in the stock routing, you need SFC's to work with stock exhaust. And things may still have to be tweaked depending on a lot of variables.
