Just do a search for fay2 or watts. There are some good discussions out there. I think the one guy that has that setup is Lonnie P

I now understand that there are two opinions as to whether or not a "reverse" watts will work at all. I'm still looking to find conformation from some who actually installed one and tried to make it work. ya or na.

Mine has been on the car for 2 summers now. It works great.
Made an incredible improvement in handling.

Actually I didn't forget, I used loctite instead. Those nylon nuts should not be reused & I planned to have it apart a few times.... so Loctite filled the bill.
Actually I doubt the bolts will come out, even without nuts off, they will hit the pivot plate. I would worry about the bolts at the outer ends falling out first.

hate to bring back a dead thread, but I was wondering if you could tell me more about how it performs? Ive read a few other members on ls1tech have fays inverse watts as well and really really enjoy it. I'm looking to make the car better at handling the corners as well as better in a straight line. I know it adds about ~17lbs over an adjustable panhard but thats a sacrifice im willing to make.
Watts shouldnt hurt in a straight line at all, but it should be a vaaaast improvement on the street and for autoX. Since ill be putting larger wheels on the rear, ill need to re-center with an adjust. PHB anyway so was thinking about investing in a watts instead. Let me know your opinions, gripes, likes etc. about the watts link!

I run a lowered panhard bar and it works quite well for me. I have verified this with a fair amount of track testing using other well prepared cars as benchmarks for my performance. You have about 100 other places to spend 6-700 dollars more effectively. Don't take my word for it though, do your research on how a reverse watts works and then compare that information with the claims made about them.

Re: Fays2 Watts for gen3's
Haven't tested the watts, but after testing the adjustable PHB (lowered to the lowest point in unbalanced engineering's relocation brackets) I can say that the rear grips like never before. It's VERY much more predictable and very hard to brake loose unless intentionally, and even then it doesn't always happen (hence the reason I may even go for stiffer rear springs...).. I am happy with rear brackets and adjustable PHB..
Cost of brackets are 160$. Cost of PHB is around 200$ (i have the del-sphere/poly combo from SPOHN, which is MUCH better than all poly which I had before).
Also less weight is better too.. If you adjust it properly and tune it properly it could perform just as good as watts, weigh less and is less expensive overall.

Re: Fays2 Watts for gen3's
Hmmm ok. I've read a lot of the other threads pertaining to inverse watts, like the fays...vs standard watts, and also the traditional phb. I understand the design intent of either, and agree about whether or not you'd even notice a difference on the street where you never reach the limits of travel on either really. A track application would really govern the choice. In any case, just because I'm interested, I will be attempting to model the entire 3 link system with a watts and inverse watts in ProE/Pro-Mechanism and applying loads to the links to observe how they act in relation to each other..and approximate a real world example.
There seemed to be quite a debate on whether or not the inverse watts really performs the same as the standard watts, and I hope to see the difference. If I get it done soon I'll post up!
