question about front sway bar mid link bushings(to frame)

I've changed a bunch of these in my day but I'm stuck on this one. I've tried changing my mid links with poly but the energy suspension brackets don't line up with the bolt holes in the frame and the their bushings don't fit in the stock brackets. So... I ordered MOOG bushings that supposedly are molded to the stock brackets but they're like a half inch taller than the stock brackets. What am I missing? Is there another bracket I can buy to fit with the MOOG bushings?

I'm not sure what your problem is. Maybe try Top Down Solutions. They'll sell you a complete kit (bushing, shell, bolts) that will fit.

Are you measuring the sway bar and ordering/getting the right size bushing? You need to scrape all the gunk off the bar, and measure it's diameter - there were 30mm, 32mm, 34mm, and 36mm bars.

In addition to this - not only are the bars different dimensions and the bushings must match, bushing mounting brackets are different sized and must match as well.

I just upgraded to a 36mm hallow bar. I couldn't find an energy suspension bushing, so I went with Moog 1-7/16" size (will have to look up part number if you need it).

My original mount brackets would not bolt in. Compared them to the ones that came with the 36mm bar I bought used, and there was a difference in the size of the mount brackets

The Moog size I went with may be a tad too large, but it did mount. Not sure of the effect on the cornering - seems fine.

Can confirm that 83 T/A will fit a 36mm hallow bar, Moog 1-7/16" bushing, stock 36mm bushing mount bracket will mount while using a Spohn wonder bar and Energy Suspension link set.

The OE brackets are all the same as far as I know, only the bushing is different--at least the 36 mounted in my OE brackets just fine. TDS and Spohn sell the 36 bushing, BTW.
