Anyone have Jegster Adj. Torque Arm..?
Anyone have the Jegster Adjustable pinion torque arm installed on their cars?? Any problems with welding it in instead of bolts...?? Any input/advice in MUCH appreciated. Thanks.

dont weld it in, the parking brake assembly is above the tunnel brace and you wont be able to get to it. The bolts are plenty strong. A bunch of people here have it with good results

I was trying to put the jegster torque arm in my 89 iroc yesterday, I got the torque arm mounted to the differential and I have two problems. 1. I put eibach sportlines on and the torque arm looks like it will hit the tunnel when it hits a bump, I think an adjustable panhard bar will fix this. 2. the brace that mounts over the e-brake bracket is interfering withe the e-brake bracket. Is anyone else having these issues? thanks

Yea i just install the jegster torque arm last night on my 89 RS. Yea getting the plate to fit the trans tunnel tight enough to get the bolts through w/ nuts is damn near impossible for some holes. Not to mention you have to completely rip apart your interior to get to the top of the trans tunnel. Yes the plate does cover the e brake but it shouldnt be binding. and how often do you really need to get to that. I said **** the bolts and i welded mine in. Its awesome!! Tons more traction, WAY better takeoff, and handling. Excellent upgrade in my opinion.

haha i wish i had the ***** to weld mine in. i just bolted it in. and i bolted my trans tunnel roll bars to it so its a complete connection for MAX stiffness. the jegster arm seemed to help but i cant tell be i smoke my 315 tires pretty easily gona have to put some stickies on and run it at the track.

i actually just made a adjustable tq arm that uses the jegster tunnel mount. i wanted my tq arm to be adjustable and i dnt see paying 300$ for the whole assembly when all i need is the arm. mine is prob better/stronger than the jegster arm... alot more reinforcement.

I install an adjustable one today. It was easy, just tedious. I took off a Spohn trans crossmember adjustable arm. The jegs arm weighs about a quarter of what the Spohn piece does. Also looks alot cleaner and now I can run a 3 inch y pipe because I switched to the exhaust crossmember.

You will def have a rougher ride, remember that your attaching the tq arm to the trans tunnel... this is a more solid connection to the cars body and thats what your sitting in. Not to mention the mounting location is right below your arm rest. The more solid connection to the cars body will most definitly transmit more road noise/vibration to the car. The rears connection is more solid and shorter arm will increase tq load faster to the rear and also transmit faster braking in the opposite direction. So yes be prepared for a rougher ride... its the price of performance.
I had a clunk noise over certain bumps, but it would go away as i applied alittle brake while going over the same bump. Ended up that the stock rear disk brake calipers were the cause and are known to do that.

Thanks blackbird for the info..I can trade off some ride quality for performance.I just wanted to get a feel for how it change the ride. dont wanna turn the car into a rattle trap..
