Knock from left front
So over the winter my car developed a popping noise. I diagnosed it to a bad right side strut mount bearing. I saved the pennies and bought the spohn strut mounts since I take the cornors hard.
After install of these, my popping went away, but now I have a knocking on the left front. Now before I contact spohn n ask for an exchange, I would like to make sure its not other parts on my car.
removed and reinstalled upper mount
I have replaced the ball joints about 2.5 years ago.
Just rechecked and greased the ball joints, good.
Checked my wheelbearings, tightened it down 1 more notch.
Control arm bushings replaced when ball joints replaced.
All brake hoses mounted down.
Both pins are in brake caliper.(had this happen before, sounds diff)
I took dental tools and checked to see if maybe the strut mount had some play where the piviot ball is pressed in. None I could see.
Struts were taken off my old car, and installed on this one. They are about 4 years old, but still have plenty of push behind them (kyb's btw)
What else do I need to check?

Re: Knock from left front
is the strut body hitting the lip around the opening in the shock tower when the suspension is compressed?

Re: Knock from left front
With car on the ground, I can easly slide my hand between struts and spring purch.
Plenty of space in the opening up top.
