bent frame

i bought my car year and half ago...guy says he bought it from a guy who built it for his son and his son ran from cops and crashed it...i looked over car very detailed when i bought it and he told me what he replaced...rear end has been changed and it has some body dmg which i have yet to fix soon i hope lol...but to the point...i bought some umi subframe connectors which have been sitting around for oh say a little over a year...yeah i know i should have installed by now...but anyways ive had car on stands for awhile dealing with transmission probs and i was just looking under car with trans out at stuff...and finally noticed why i cant get my front passenger side tire to the proper alignment...part of the frame is bent...early about a year ago i had to heat up the frame near the same area with wheel off to get the a-arm to pull over far enough to get the bolt in...found out i was driving it with only one a arm bolt holding it on...dangerous...im just glad nothing serious happened while driving it...anyways thats all taken care of...but i couldnt see this bend in frame before due to transmission being in the way...its clearly visible...

think its ok for install of umi subframe connectors...later i can go back and cut out and replace the frame where its bent but thats a mighty task i dont feel like getting into right now

Re: bent frame

Im no expert but we road race a (nobody hunt me down and kill me its only work )an 07 mustang and has been crashed several times and the right front frame rail has been bent for awhile and it is not the perfect world but as long as the alignment is right the car does not realy know any diffrence I would put your connecters in and keep right on going but again im no expert im sure somebody will jump my case but it realy does not matter in the big picture
